American Go E-Journal, year 2004

This is part of Mike's unofficial archive of the American Go Association's E-Journal.
Please see the official E-Journal archive also.

The American Go Association publishes the American Go E-Journal by weekly email. It usually has go-related news and announcements, classified ads, reviews and letters from readers, articles about "Online Go," "Why We Play", etc. Since 2002, the Games edition includes game analysis and other instructional material in sgf and pdf format (generally excluded from this archive of the AGEJ Public Edition, since the game records are a benefit of AGA membership). In 2003, occasional Board Notes communicated the latest organizational info from the AGA Board of Directors. Also in 2003, the AGA suspended publication of its glossy paper quarterly American Go Journal, replacing it with the weekly E-Journal and an annual paper Yearbook with CD-ROM. In 2005, the E-Journal began publishing twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Friday editions come with supplemental attachments such as game commentary or lecture material in SGF or PDF format, which generally are not archived here.

Material published in American Go E-Journal may be reproduced by any recipient; please credit the AGEJ as the source. You can sign up to receive American Go E-Journal at the American Go Association. AGA membership is encouraged and appreciated, but not required (except for the additional material in the Games Edition).
