Tournament at Pacific Lutheran University
Well, the tournament was a lot of fun. Twelve came to
play, including a 3-dan new to the AGA, three of those strong dans from
Seattle Chinese Go Club, three folks from Seattle Go Club, four of
Tacoma's best and brightest, plus one stalwart soul from Oregon.

Tacoma/UPS Go Club has been invited by the
Wang Center for International Programs
to hold a Go tournament at their Chinese Culture festival
on Saturday, September 20, 2003. The folks at the Wang Center
are hopeful that students will form a PLU Go Club. Sounds like fun!
Bring your families -- there will be plenty for non-players to do at the festival
(Chinese music, lion dancing, calligraphy, films, etc.). Prizes will be awarded
before the 7 p.m. opera performance -- with luck, by an official from the Chinese
consulate.
