Tournament in Tacoma
Well, the tournament was great fun. We had excellent support
from our neighbors to the north and south, from Seattle, Federal Way,
and Portland. We're planning to do it again in October.

- What: A Go Tournament! We are a new AGA chapter, and this is our first rated tournament, so we're pretty excited.

Registration 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM; Rules discussion 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM; First round starts 10:45 AM
Lunch break after the first round (onsite cafeteria takes cash only)

Steve Stringfellow will be Tournament Director.
- Why: To have fun playing go, of course!

- Fee (cash or check with ID):
- $2 for students (with ID), children under 18 years old, and senior citizens better than 65 years old
$10 $12 for everyone else (sorry for the misunderstanding)
- Some kind of current AGA membership is required, or an additional $5
nonmember rating fee will apply. Annual AGA memberships from $10 to $30 can be
purchased at the tournament or via the AGA website
(http://www.usgo.org/org/application.asp).
- Rules: Modified AGA ("bookkeeping" pass stones not required; play out disputed or unclear positions)
3 rounds; Time 50 minutes each, overtime of 20 stones in 5 minutes; 6.5 komi for even games
- Prizes: dependent on entries
