Seattle Go Kids Go to China

Beautiful shirts sold to defray the expense

Some Seattle-area families with go-playing children visited China in April 2002 (article about the trip). To help raise funds, they sold beautiful 100% cotton shirts in white or teal blue for $15. The front calligraphy, by a Seattle artist, translates as "Go friend" in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The back reads "Seattle Go Kids Go to China, 2002." The T-shirts were available (I'm sure they're all sold by now) at the Seattle Go Center, 700 NE 45th St., 2nd floor, Seattle, WA, 98105 (phone 206-545-1424).

Also to raise funds for the trip to China, Jon Boley 5-dan was giving lessons -- $40 for each 2-hours lesson. For more information on the T-shirts or the lessons, please email go@seattlego.org or phone 206-545-1424.

I apologize for all the wrinkles... I had worn these before it occurred to me to take pictures.
